It’s thought that Vitali will take on former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, who recently dared Vitali to fight him and said he would send Vitali into retirement. That seems like the best and really the only good option Vitali has to fight unless he wants to follow the path of his little brother IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, who is rumored to be on the verge of fighting 39-year-old fringe contender Jean Marc Mormeck in December.

However, Vitali has already taken on a number of soft heavyweights in the past year in the form of Shannon Briggs, Alberto Sosnowski and now Adamek. It’s time that Vitali step it up against a good heavyweight with power and speed like Haye so that boxing fans can see an interesting fight. Other than Haye, the options for appealing fights are limited to a rematch with Chris Arreola, and fights against guys like Alexander Dimitrenko, Bermane Stiverne, Jonsthan Banks, Denis Boytsov, Mariuz Wach and Roberto Helenius.

Only Helenius is an interesting opponent out of that bunch, but it’s doubtful that his management will let him fight Vitali at this time because Helenius looked awful in his last fight against 35-year-old part time fighter Sergiy Liakhovich. Helenius can’t jab, has little defensive skills and seems to have stamina problems. He would be no match for Vitali at this time.
