Image: Vitali could be back in NovemberBy Dan Ambrose: WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40 KO’s) could be back as early as November for his next fight. In an interview with the German news site Bild it was learned that there are two TV dates with RTL – one for November and the other in December.

Vitali’s brother IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has already talked about wanting the December date, leaving Vitali the prospects of a quick turnaround fight if he wants to squeeze in another fight before the end of 2011. Vitali wants to fight again before the end of the year and it looks like he’ll have to settle for November.

That’s going to make it all but impossible for Vitali’s next fight to be against Haye, however, because Haye is going to want a lot of time to train and just putting the contract together could take a lengthy period of time. Vitali prefers to fight Haye next, but might have to settle for a rematch against Odlanier Solis, who Vitali stopped in the 1st round earlier this year in March.

Solis injured his right knee in that fight and has undergone major knee surgery. It’s difficult to imagine that Solis would want to fight Vitali in his first fight coming off knee surgery. However, with the kind of payday Solis would get for the Vitali fight, I can see him agreeing to take it in a heartbeat if it’s offered to him. There is also number #4 ranked WBC contender Bermane Stiverne for Vitali. Stiverne can really punch, but is like a poor man’s version of Samuel Peter. It would be an easy win for Vitali but it could be interesting if Stiverne lands something big.

Vitali didn’t take many hard shots in his win over Adamek last Saturday night and that makes it a lot easier for Vitali to come back quickly in November. The only question is can he find a suitable opponent before then to fight?
