Image: Dirrell: I can't wait to get back in the ring to let out some animosityBy Scott Gilfoid: Andre Dirrell (19-1, 13 KO’s) says he’s really looking forward to getting back in the ring to let some aggression out that he’s built up over the past year since he was injured. Dirrell has had to listen to the constant yapping from jealous boxing fans all this time, and he can’t wait to get back in the ring to show his stuff.

“All I can say is I can’t wait to get back in the ring so I can let some of this animosity out on a brotha. I have been gone too long.”

Dirrell will be back in either October or November. After that, he’ll be targeting Sergio Martinez and IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute.

It’s going to be good for Dirrell to shut some traps once he gets back in the ring. There’s been much negative bleating about Dirrell ever since his injury, and he’s going to shut those traps once and for all as soon as he comes back next month or in November.

Dirrell has got the best boxing skills in the super middleweight division bar none. Before he was injured last year in his fight against Arthur Abraham, Dirrell had dominated Abraham and well on his way to winning the fight in the 11th round. And in his fight before that, Dirrell dominated Carl Froch over 12 rounds, but lost a controversial decision in Froch’s home town of Nottingham, England.

I had Dirrell winning that fight by a lopsided 12 round decision. The only fighter that stood in Dirrell’s way in the Super Six competition was Andre Ward, and that would have been a beautiful fight between two blazing fast, highly skilled fighters. It’s too bad that fight was taken from us by Dirrell’s injury. However, it’s good that Dirrell will be back soon to show the world his star potential.
