By Scott Gilfoid: God, man I swear Amir Khan reminds me of David Haye in so many ways. Besides both being Brits, they can blab about themselves all day long if you’re willing to listen. I’ve never seen fighters that are so into bragging about themselves without anything to back it up. Haye’s thing was to yap about how he could beat Wladimir Klitschko.

We saw results of that when he ran for his life the entire fight in losing a wide decision to Wladimir on July 2nd. Now it’s Khan’s turn with yapping about he’s going to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. It seems pretty transparent to me – Khan wants a payday. He can’t really believe he can beat Mayweather when he practically saved from a knockout against Marcos Maidana by referee Joe Cortez when he kept breaking the action in the last three rounds while Maidana was going for the kill against a badly hurt Khan.

That was a disgraceful fight from Khan, and one that made the Joseph Agbeko vs. Abner Mares fight look tame in comparison. I just wish Al Berstein of Showtime was covering the Khan-Maidana fight instead of HBO because there would a lot more noise made about how Maidana was being pulled off of Khan will he was trying to finish him off in the last three rounds.

Anyway, Khan wants the Mayweather fight and is saying he’s going to beat him. Yeah, I bet. Khan can’t even rematch Maidana and Breidis Prescott, the guy that knocked him out in one round, and here is talking about Mayweather. It just looks so phoney, like Khan is looking for big cash out fight against Mayweather. He’d of course gets obliterated, but would get a big payday and then could brag about how he gave Mayweather some trouble during spots.

Just nonsense stuff to cover up for a one-sided loss and to make his fans think there’s some hope some day in the future. There is no hope. Khan couldn’t beat Mayweather even if he were 40. The guy is so much better than Khan. It’s redicuslous. I rate Khan below Maidana and Prescott, and here is bragging about he can beat Mayweather. Joke.

Khan said this on his twitter today: “Within the next 12 months I promise I’ll beat Floyd Mayweather and I’ll be the first to do so. Always a young lion coming through.”

That is hilarious. Yes, this is just like Of Mice and Men, and someday we’ll all get a place and you get to tend the rabbits, George. A young lion? More like a young lamb with a bleating problem.
