This is a fight that’s hard to predict a winner in, as Holt was one of the best fighters in the world until 2009 when he was beaten in back to back fights by Timothy Bradley and Kaizer Mabuza. Holt, 30, has since turned his career around with wins over Lenin Arryo and Julio Diaz in his last two fights in 2011, but those guys are far from the talent of Bradley and Mabuza so it’s difficult to tell how much Holt has left.

Garcia, ranked #11 IBF, #13 WBO, #15 WBC, has been knocking out most of his overmatched opposition as of late. He stopped Mike Arnaoutis and defeated Nate Campbell by a lopsided 10 round unanimous decision last April to show how good he is. Garcia is only, 23, and has excellent power. He’s not as fast as Holt, though, and not as explosive.

However, he’s got a good chin and if he can handle some of the huge shots that Holt is going to land on him, he could take Holt out. Holt is good in the early rounds, but he wears down and can be hurt if you land enough shots. Garcia’s not in the class of punchers like Ricardo Torres once was, but he’s still got very good power and could make things difficult for Holt if he lands consistently.
