By Aaron Scully: Listening to Wladimir at the press conference and interviews he has done to late he has really contradicted himself.

On sky sports news Wladimir said:

“As a therapist I promised reality rehab for David on July 2 to make him a better person inside and outside the ring. I believe certain things show in the character of David Haye and, from what I see I don’t believe he wants this rematch. Straight after a fight, fighters usually scream ‘give me a rematch.’ But David never said a word.”

“At the press conference, journalists were all asking me if I would give him a rematch. So I passed it on to David who was like ‘err, hmm, well maybe…….yeah sure, why not?’

“But I don’t see the desire for David to get this rematch. I believe Richard Schaefer, his promoter, is right. He needs to establish himself in the USA and show he has the will.”

Wladimir on sky sports news told a totally different story as to what happened at the press conference Wladimir himself asked for a rematch not the media and Haye immediately replied only for there to be usual problems with microphones at live events Haye was trying to speak into the microphone but it was muffled and it’s also very rare for fighters to be screaming after fights for rematches at the level of these two fighters.

At the post fight press conference with Wladimir.

Wladimir: “I was really thinking that I’m going to celebrate my 50th knockout today not just the unification, I have to give respect to David Haye for his boxing skills He has been alert for all 12 rounds I have being expecting that’s what usually happening to the guys after certain jabs in the rounds that are getting kinder slippy a little bit an slower an slowing down. He really pissed me off with his T-shirt to be honest with you and it was really below the belt line and to be honest with you it wasn’t cool and I believe that and everyone in his life deserves the place where he is or each of us is, so I’m not happy that I didn’t celebrate my 50th knockout so ill have to postpone it then till the next fight but when you fight all the belts with my brother let’s face it wasn’t an easy job.

I’m showing up at the press conference not all the time with bruises on my face so it was a challenge in the ring it was a good challenge in the ring I really enjoyed it lets talk about rematch, Dave what do you think?”
Haye: “I’d love too, you know this is boxing”

Wladimir: “Nah I definitely didn’t expect other answer and next time we’ll knock you out.”

Maybe we will start seeing some honesty from the gentleman of the sports very soon.
