Chisora: I would destroy David Haye

By Sean McDaniel: Unbeaten British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) is looking out on the horizon for his next potential opponent ahead of his fight this Saturday night against Tyson Fury (14-0, 10 KO’s).

Chisora sees that as a knockout win and is interested in moving on quickly against local fighters David Price or John McDermott next.

However, Chisora isn’t very respectful of former World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye after his disappointing performance against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Chisora said this to the dailystar.co.uk: “I’d also f**k up David Haye, blow his a$$ off. The guy disrespects the sport, talking about putting people in wheelchairs. Cut out all his talk and bull***t and I am far more vicious than him. I would walk through him. I am No.1 in Britain now and I have got all the belts.”

Chisora still has to prove himself against David Price and McDermott before he lays claims as the top guy in the UK. Price might be a tough obstacle because of his huge 6’8″ height, long reach and good power. If Chisora couldn’t take him out quickly, he could be for a bad beating from him. McDermott, however, is more vulnerable because he tends to tire out quickly in his fights. But McDermott is good enough to cause Chisora a lot of problems for three or four rounds before tiring.

There isn’t a lot of other options out there on the domestic level for Chisora if he gets past Fury. Audley Harrison has been beaten too many times, and it’d doubtful fans have forgotten his inept performance against Haye last year.
