Image: Audley Harrison wants the Chisora-Fury winnerBy Sean McDaniel: 39-year-old Audley Harrison (27-5, 20 KO’s) said he wants the winner of this month’s fight between British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora vs. Tyson Fury on July 23 at the Wembley Arena. Harrison has done zero since suffering an embarrassing 3rd round TKO loss to WBA heavyweight champion David Haye last year in November, but he’d still like to take on the winner of the Chisora vs. Fury bout because of the two titles that Chisora currently has in his possession.

Harrison said this on his twitter page: “I want the winner.”

The chances of Harrison getting the winner of that fight are pretty small right now because IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is interested in facing the winner of this fight and he’s got the titles while Harrison has nothing to lure the winner. However, Harrison has a great chance of getting the loser of the fight. I can see Chisora or Fury jumping at the chance of taking on Harrison and adding his scalp to their resume.

Harrison, as he usually does, would do a great job of hyping the fight and getting attention to get fans interested. He’d then likely get destroyed. You can never really count Harrison out entirely because he does have excellent power when he’s willing to use it. But it’s likely that he’d go into the fight scared and get destroyed quickly by either of these guys.

There had been talk that Harrison would take on recent Prizefighter winner Mike Perez. However, Harrison dismissed that fight, saying he’d rather go after the British and Commonwealth titles.
