Image: Mayweather turns down $65 million to fight Pacquiao? I doubt itBy Chris Williams: There is talk that unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. supposedly turned down $65 million to fight Manny Pacquiao, according to examiner.com. Reportedly, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is saying that a party in Singapore made the offer to Mayweather of $65 million for a fight against Pacquiao, an offer that Mayweather supposedly turned down. I don’t believe it.

There are so many rumors out there about this great fighter that you could start a book library on it. Believe me, if Mayweather were to receive an offer like that, he’d take the Pacquiao fight in a second. Heck, if Mayweather were to receive a $50 million offer for Pacquiao, he’d be all over it. Don’t believe anything unless it’s straight from the horse’s mouth. Mayweather will be fighting Pacquiao in the future but only when his legal problems are out of the way.

Until then, Pacquiao and his team are just going to have to be patient and wait on Mayweather. If they’re too impatient to wait, so be it. Pacquiao can always retire or continue to fight the Shane Mosley’s of the boxing world. But Mayweather has more important things to do than to waste time fighting when he’s trying to clear up a bigger problem with his legal woes. Hopefully, Pacquiao won’t get beat by one of the older fighters he’s been facing lately, but if he does, oh well. Mayweather will just pick out another quality fighter once he comes back and make big bank fighting them. He’s not called Money Mayweather for nothing. The man has got the golden touch.
