Image: Judah: I'm going to be a 6 time world champion after beating Khan on 7/23By Scott Gilfoid: IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah (41-6, 28 KO’s) will be looking for his 6th world title on July 23 against the soft-chinned and much hyped WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (25-1, 17 KO’s) at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judah is the much more accomplished and arguably much more talented fighter coming into the bout with the still relatively inexperienced Khan.

Talking on his twitter page, Judah said “Come July 23, I will become 6X champion of the world!!!. Who coming to Vegas July 23 to see me become 6X champion of the world? All I do is win win win, no matter what.”

Judah plans on knocking Khan out cold, capturing his World Boxing Association title and moving on to get the riches of a possible fight against huge star Manny Pacquiao. Khan’s only real hope in this fight is to keep on the run for the full 12, cover up and hope that Judah doesn’t nail him. If this was a fight against and inside fighter with slow hand speed like Marcos Maidana, Khan would at least have a chance of winning the fight if he could run, hold and he lucky enough to have the referee separate Khan while he’s getting the tar knocked out of him.

However, this Judah, a fighter with just as good – if not better – hand speed compared to Khan and with one punch knockout power. Judah doesn’t need to fight on the inside in order to deliver his knockout punches. He’s going to connect with his power shots from all angles and all distances. Khan won’t be able to hang for long unless his conditioning coach Alex Ariza can add muscle to Khan’s weak chin.

That isn’t going to happen, so I’m giving Khan pretty zero chance of winning this fight. I’d give Khan a better chance if he had huge knockout power and was capable of getting to Judah before he got to him. But that’s not going to happen because Khan throws mostly weak flurries and slaps too much with his punches. It takes a real world class fighter to beat Judah, a sturdy guy that can punch.

Judah has mainly lost to class in his career, losing to guys like Floyd Mayweather Jr., Miguel Cotto, Cory Spinks, Joshua Clottey and Carlos Baldomir. While Clottey and Baldomir aren’t in the same class as Cotto, Mayweather and Spinks, but they’re a lot more rugged than Khan in my view. I see Khan as being too weak and fragile to hang with Judah in this fight and I expect to see Khan raise the while flag of surrender when the going gets tough around the 6th round.
