By Scott Gilfoid: Of all the people that I thought would ever stop talking trash it’s WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. After all these years of trash talking the Klitschkos, Haye has suddenly turned over a new leaf and has decided he no longer needs to do this in order to sell his July 2nd fight against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

You know what? I smell fear. I think the Brit is shaking in his boots now that it’s down to two weeks to go before the fight and he’s hoping that if he plays it nice with Wladimir he might go easy on him and not totally thrash him. I think really starting to lose respect for Haye.

I never thought he would shut his trap after all this time now that he’s on the verge of finally getting his wish to fight one of the Klitschkos. This is the worst possible time for Haye to shut his yap. He needs to be talking trashing until the bitter end and just go in a blaze of glory while still flapping his gums nonstop. I think we might be seeing a failure of the nerves for Haye.

He might as well keep talking because Wladimir is fit to be tied for Haye’s t-shirt episode and for making Wladimir look so bad during the recent HBO Face to Face with Max Kellerman. That’s reason enough right there for Wladimir to want to punish Haye and leave him in a crumpled and broken heap on the canvas. It’s too late. Haye is already doomed. He might as well keep yapping and maybe Wladimir will hit him so hard that Haye won’t feel it when he’s knocked cold. It’s better that then to be slowly jabbed to pieces for 12 rounds and be turned into a pizza face.
