British fans may not want to tune in tonight because I see Froch losing to the 42-year-old Johnson and losing badly.

This fight is all wrong for Froch, and I believe his limited skills are going to be badly exposed by the veteran Johnson. But it’s good, though. The Super Six finals are meant for only the best fighters and a loss for Froch is merely a sign that he couldn’t cut the mustard. It’s not an end all. It’s just a signal that he’s various areas of his game he needs to work on before he can compete with the best and make it to the final stage. Who knows? Maybe there will be another Super Six tournament at some point in the future and Froch can take part in that one and maybe get to the finals.

Froch has won a couple of bouts to get to this point in the Super Six tourney. I actually had Froch winning only one of his Super Six tourney fights and that was against Arthur Abraham, who did zero to even try to win. I had Froch losing badly to Andre Dirrell by a 8 rounds to 3 with 1 even score. And, of course, Froch got beat by Mikkel Kessler last year. So, we got a guy in Froch that basically has one good win under his belt as he enters this weeding out fight against Johnson. I’m sorry, but that’s not a sign of someone that is humming along nicely.

If Froch was a car engine, I’d say he was an 8 cylinder model badly in need of a major tune-up. It’s like he’s firing on only 4 cylinders and putting out a lot of black smoke from his backside and misfiring like heck. The thing is it’s too late to get a tune-up now. He’s entered the semifinal race needing a tune-up and possibly an entire engine overhaul. With those kinds of repairs, it’s going to take a good amount of time to be in the shop to get all this fixed. Froch doesn’t have the time and here he is about to take a pounding tonight against a tune-up Porsche in 42-year-old Johnson. Things are looking pretty bleak for Froch if you ask me. I can see Froch breaking down and needing to be hauled back to the shop with a tow truck when things don’t go right.
