Harrison is coming off a disastrous 3rd round knockout loss to WBA heavyweight champion David Haye last November in a fight in which Harrison threw only one punch in three rounds. Fury has recently been calling out Harrison for a fight. Up until now, Harrison was ignoring Fury and not showing interest in the fight. However, he’s now changed his mind about fighting.

Speaking on his social media twitter site, Harrison said “If Chisora and Fury don’t fight, the only logical fight is me. Either one, it doesn’t matter to me. I may not be the no 1 but surely can beat these two. Tell you what, the show can be called Victory or Retirement.

The timing for this isn’t that great because Chisora is now free to fight after IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko pulled out of a scheduled April 30th fight with him. Chisora has to defend his British title against Fury or else he’ll wind up getting stripped of the belt. Harrison picked a bad time to call out these guys because they’re both likely to be fighting each other next rather than looking to fight Harrison.

However, this is a good fight for either of those fighters and for Harrison. It’s a fight that Harrison absolutely needs in order to resurrect his career. His loss to Haye really hurt him because of the way that Harrison fought. Boxing fans figured that Harrison would at least try to win the fight by throwing some shots. However, Harrison froze under the lights and all he could muster up was one jab during the three rounds of action.

It’s difficult to believe that Harrison will retire if he loses to Chisora or Fury. It is a good selling point to try and attract fans to purchase the fight though.
