Chisora tells Fury to stop whining, and fight Sexton or Price while he waits for British title shot

By Dave Lahr: Unbeaten British/Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) is tired of the constant whining and bellyaching from undefeated Tyson Fury (14-0, 10 KO’s) about wanting Chisora to be stripped of his British title because he’s not available to fight him immediately. Chisora, who has a big fight coming up against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on April 30th, doesn’t see Fury as the real thing and he is trying to pick up the British title the easy way by not having to fight him for the belt.

I totally agree with what Chisora is saying, because it does appear that Fury is hoping that Chisora will be stripped of the belt just so he won’t have to face him. That’s so sad.

Speaking with the Gareth A Davies at the Telegraph.co.uk, Chisora said “Tyson can continue knocking over unknown Brazilians, or make embarrassing attempts to bring the likes of old mean like Frans Botha over here to pad his record, but the react remains if Fury wants to be a real champion then he’ll have to wait for me to either become world champion or, if I’m beaten as he say’s I will be, for me to defend my titles against him…If he needs a fight in the interim, he should fight the likes of Sam Sexton, Richard Towers, or the man who beat him in the amateurs, David Price.”

Yes, Chisora is correct. If Fury needs a fight to take while waiting, he needs to go after Sexton or Price. Those guys would probably jump at the chance to fight Fury, and if he beats them, maybe people will see him as a more creditable fighter. It certainly would help build up a future fight with Chisora. I don’t think Fury will, though. In looking at how they found this Brazilian guy Marcelo Luiz Nascimento, who couldn’t fight a lick, it suggests that Fury is looking for easy fights to pad his record with. He needs to step it up and fight Sexton or Price while he waits on Chisora. I don’t think he will, because I see both of those guys beating him, as would Chisora.

Chisora says “Stop whining, talking rubbish and getting your promoter to do your dirty work, wait your chance like a man. Championships are won and lost, so stop trying to steal it underhandedly.”
