Fury, 22, was supposed to be facing Carlos Garcia but he pulled out of the fight. However, the 6’0” 260 pound Brown is about the same type of fighter, so there won’t be much of a difference. Fury is being matched soft ever since his 2nd fight with John McDermott for some reason.

It looks as his management team is trying to have him work on his many flaws to make him a better fighter. Although Fury defeated McDermott and Rich Power recently, he looked incredibly vulnerable and sloppy in the ring. Fury needs to learn how to use his height and reach to his advantage instead of getting in close and just banging away.

Fury, despite his high knockout percentage, doesn’t have much power and has terrible defensive skills. Once he gets in with bigger punchers, he’s going to have serious problems unless his team wants to keep him at the domestic level his entire career.

Fury says he’ll fight anyone but he’s not ready for even the best fighters in the UK let alone the top heavyweight contenders on the world level. Fury recently worked out with trainer Emanuel Steward and got a few pointers. However, Fury needs long term help if he’s to keep improving because he doesn’t seem to be getting any better.
