Image: Chisora is going to brutally stop Wladimir next Saturday - PredictionBy Dave Lahr: After four years as the IBF heavyweight champion and two years as the WBO champ, IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) is about at the end of the line when he faces unbeaten Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) next Saturday on December 11th at the SAP-Arena, Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. All good things must end, and as Chisora has pointed out, Wladimir is on his way down hill and is meeting him on the way up the hill.

I see Chisora not only beating Wladimir on 12/11, but stopping him in a brutal knockout where Wladimir is out cold face down on the canvas. Chisora has the kind of punching power and the type of offense that Wladimir has traditionally had huge problems against. And best of all, Chisora has the tools to get inside on Wladimir to use his weapons. Wladimir’s opponents in the past four years have been completely baffled at what to do to beat the tall 6’6″ Ukrainian.

But Chisora has him figured out, and he’s got the weapons to score a brutal knockout. This is going to be a sad day for all the German Klitschko fans who will be paying to see him fight at the SAP arena in Mannheim. They’ll be going there thinking they’re going to see yet another Klitschko win and Chisora is going to spoil their party when he lands one of his big right hands that sends Wladimir down face first on the canvas where he’ll need medical care to revive him.

This is what happens when you take a fighter that had become totally dependent on the jab and clinch style of fighting in the past four years and put him in with a great inside fighter like Chisora. Bad things happen when you neglect areas of your game the way that Wladimir has. Chisora is going to get inside and topple Wladimir like a tall sickly tree and put him down for the 10 count.
