The final judges’ scores were 120-108, 120-108, and 120-108, all for Ward.

Green, who said he deserved to have been picked for the tournament from the very beginning, showed a good reason why he wasn’t picked, as he did next to nothing during the fight other than clinch and lean on Ward absorbing punches. Green literally couldn’t pull the trigger and fought like a fighter much older than his 30-years.

Ward smothered Green during most of the rounds, keeping him pinned with his back against the ropes taking shots. After the midpoint of the fight, Green looked like a little kid who was getting the stuffing beaten out of him and was helpless to stop it. He was confused and had a look of resignation, as if he knew he had no chance.

Green looked so bad in the later rounds, it’s a wonder that the fight wasn’t stopped. He looked like he didn’t have a clue and was just taking a royal pounding.
