Early in round one, both fighters tried to exchange frequent blows as good as they can. But Maliteg had problems coping with the aggressive boxing style of the Thai fighter and felt his back on the ropes and also began bleeding from his nose in this round. The referee waved his hands to call off this fight after Maliteg received severe punishment in 1 minute and 30 seconds of the second round and gave the Interim WBO Asia-Pacific junior flyweight belt to the Thai fighter.
The KO artist Paipharob is a former Muay Thai star, aka Daoden Singklongsi in his Muay Thai name. He made his professional boxing debut in the vacant PABA flyweight championship fight and took the belt by an impressive KO4 over Rey Megrino on October 9, 2009. But he dropped down to light flyweight in his second fight and won the vacant Interim PABA belt by KO5 over Donnie Mabao on December 25, 2009. The yesterday’s victory raised Paipharob’s win–loss–draw record to 5–0–0, with 4 knockouts.
