By Sam Gregory: Saturday August 1st at Sovereign Bank Stadium in York, Pa, TKO Boxing Promotions presents “The Battle of York 4.” This will be the fourth show this year in York Pa that TKO Promotions has put on but what makes this event unique is that this fight card will be put on outside at the Sovereign Bank Baseball Stadium, home of the Atlantic League baseball team the York Revolution.

According to Chet Koerner of TKO Promotions, “For this event we will be setting up the ring in the home plate area with seats available at ringside and also in the stands ensuring terrific sight lines for the fans.”

Boxing fans in York have always shown up in droves to support the sport of boxing and their hometown hero’s. “The passion displayed and support we’ve received from the fans, media and business community in the York area really has driven this promotion.”

Matt O’ Brien, General Manager of the York Revolution said, “Boxing is one of those sports that you need to see live. Live from home plate at Sovereign Bank Stadium.”

Tickets, starting at $20 for general admission in the grandstand of the stadium, can be purchased in advance through the York Revolution Box Office (717-801-HITS, www.yorkrevolution.com). Ringside table seating is also available through the box office.
