Kahn dropped Fagen twice in the opening round, first with a hard right hand, then again at the end of the round with an example of his blistering speed with a vicious combination.

The second round saw more of the same, with Kahn landing at will and Referee Micky Vann stepped in to end what was a very one-sided affair.

Kahn looked much better defensively this time out, keeping his hands high and using the ring effectively. Fagen struggled to land anything before Kahns power proved to be too much for him. It would appear that sparring with people like Pacquiao, who was at a career heaviest of 147lbs, is inspiration enough for Amir Kahn to use his feet and keep his head out of the way.

On the same bill Enzo Maccarinelli, fighting at heavyweight, knocked out last-minute opponent Matthew Ellis in two rounds, under very similar circumstances to Amir Kahn, with both having been knocked out in their previous fights.

The fight was originally meant to be against Johnathon Banks for the WBO Cruiserweight world title, however an ankle injury meant he had to pull out with under a week to go. Herbie Hide was rumored to have agreed to fight, but could not be contacted on Wednesday, so Fransisco Alvarez stepped in. Alvarez failed a medical on Friday however and was unable to fight.

Whilst Maccarinelli came into the fight at Cruiserweight, he showed that against a bigger opponent his punches were perhaps more devastating than ever before, dropping Ellis with 2 vicious body shots in the first minute, which was followed up with a second knockdown in the round from a hurtful left hook to the body.

The second round saw more of the same, Maccarinelli clearly dominating the fight, and finishing his opponent with yet another vicious left to the body.
