By Jason Kim: David Tua (51-3-2, 43 KO’s) should consider himself very fortunate that he escaped with a 12 round majority draw with journeyman Monte Barrett (34-9-1, 20 KO’s) last Saturday night, because Tua looked really horrible throughout the 12 round bout at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

On Saturday night, before a packed house at the Tropicana showroom in the Tropicana Casino and Resort, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing presented an action packed eight bout card. The event, shown live on PPV, featured knockouts, upsets, and just all around great fights.

Both main event fighters, David Tua (51-3-1, 43KO’s) and Monte Barrett (34-9, 20KO’s) weighed-in today on the boardwalk outside of the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City in anticipation of their upcoming heavyweight title fight, Saturday night on PPV.
