Birmingham star Matthew Macklin has vowed to win a world title in 2011. The two-time European middleweight king defends his title on December 11 in Liverpool on Frank Warren’s huge 30th anniversary show. Former world title challenger Ruben Varon will be in the opposite corner.

Nathan Cleverly and Matthew Macklin will face former world title challengers on December 11 at Liverpool’s Echo Arena. Cleverly will challenge for the Interim World Boxing Organization (WBO) World light-heavyweight title against the number two ranked Alejandro Lakatos.
