Image: Hatton vs. Senchenko likely on PPV in UK & ShowtimeBy William Mackay: For boxing fans wanting to see Ricky Hatton’s November 24th fight against former WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko in the UK and U.S, they’re likely going to have to pay to see the fight because that looks like where the fight card is headed. Primetime has been mentioned as a possible PPV carrier for the fight.

In the U.S, the Hatton-Senchenko fight could wind up on Showtime. Its’ difficult to imagine the Haton-Senchenko fight being able to sell on PPV in the U.S, because Hatton has been out of the loop for so long and pretty much only hardcore boxing fans know who he is now. You can’t sell a Hatton-Senchenko fight to casual boxing fans without a popular American like Floyd Mayweather Jr. being the one to face him or someone like Manny Pacquiao.

The Hatton-Senchenko card will be taking place at the Manchester Arena (formerly M.E.N Arena), Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom. The venue is already sold out despite Senchenko not being a big name.

The undercard of the Hatton fight has Scott Quigg facing Rendall Munroe in a rematch. Their first fight last June was stopped at three rounds and ruled a technical draw after Munroe suffered a nasty cut over his right eye from a head clash.

Also on the card will be EBU junior middleweight champion Sergiy Rabchenko facing Cedric Vitu. This isn’t all that interesting because Vitu’s resume has a lot of weak opposition and very little substance.

British super featherweight champion Gary Buckland will be fighting Stephen Foster.

Middleweight contender Martin Murray still doesn’t have an opponent as of yet, and it’s going to be interesting to see who they wind up getting. There’s not much time left before November 24th.

Half of the undercard is still yet to be completed.
