Cleverly is open to fighting Cloud
By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten light heavyweight contender Nathan Cleverly (20-0, 10 KO’s) is open to fighting International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud (21-0, 18 KO’s). Cleverly, 23, seems to have become a little cocky after beating light heavyweight contender Karo Murat by a 10th round stoppage in September.
Cleverly vs. Lakatos, Macklin vs. Varon on December 11th
Nathan Cleverly and Matthew Macklin will face former world title challengers on December 11 at Liverpool’s Echo Arena. Cleverly will challenge for the Interim World Boxing Organization (WBO) World light-heavyweight title against the number two ranked Alejandro Lakatos. And Macklin will defend his European middleweight belt against Ruben Varon.
