Light Middleweight world titles are becoming like a peace pipe
By Mark Hepplestall: After another loss for Anthony Mundine and looking at the world rankings, we must ask who are the current world champions? Well after some research I can say Manny Pacquiao holds the WBC light middleweight title and is number 1 in the world, Miguel Cotto holds the World Boxing Association (WBA) version and is number 2 in the world, IBF version is held by Cornelius Bundrage and is number 7 in the world and WBO is held by Serhiy Dzinziruk who is 26th in the world. While the titles that are not world recognized including the IBO title is held by Zaurbek Baysangurov and is 17th in the world. It seems weird that the world champions are ranked lower then some of the best contenders in the division.

Should Duddy take the Foreman fight next?
By Jason Kim: Irish Middleweight contender John Duddy (29-2, 18 KO’s) was easily beaten by fellow Top Rank fighter Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (41-0-1, 30 KO’s) by a 12 round unanimous decision on June 26th at the Alamodome, in San Antonio, Texas. Duddy, 31, took a beating in the fight and was badly marked up around his eyes after the bout. It was a grueling fight in which Duddy really wasn’t competitive for the most part. After the fight, Duddy’s promoter Bob Arum, perhaps to cheer Duddy up, said this: “As soon as he [Duddy] recovers and as soon as Yuri’s [Foreman] knee heals, we’re going to sell out Madison Square Garden next year.”
Can Duddy vs. Foreman sell out Madison Square Garden?
By Dan Ambrose: After John Duddy (29-2, 18 KO’s) was dominated in a 12 round unanimous decision loss to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (41-0-1, 30 KO’s) last Saturday night, Duddy’s promoter Bob Arum said this: “As soon as [Duddy] recovers and as soon as Yuri’s [Foreman] knee heals, we’re going to sell out Madison Square Gardens next year.” Both Duddy and Foreman, incidentally, fight for Arum’s Top Rank Company, and both have now lost their last fights. Foreman (28-1, 8 KO’s) was defeated by Miguel Cotto in a 9th round TKO earlier this month on June 5th at Yankee Stadium.

Arum says he would like to put Duddy in with another one of his Top Rank fighters former World Boxing Association light middleweight champion Yuri Foreman (28-1, 8 KO’s), who was stopped in the 9th round by Miguel Cotto earlier this month on June 5th at Yankee Stadium.

Foreman’s knee surgery a success
By Jason Kim: Former WBA junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman (28-1, 8 KO’s) had his right knee successfully operated on Friday to repair Foreman’s torn ACL and Meniscus and to remove torn cartilage around his knee joint. The injury partially occurred starting in the 7th round in his June 5th defeat against Miguel Cotto at Yankee Stadium. To what level the damage occurred in that fight isn’t really known. Foreman always was walking around with an injured knee for the past 14 years, as he had hurt it originally as a 15-year-old and had never had it operated on.
