Wladimir vs. Haye Preview

haye45344By Tim Neilson: It’s been awhile since I’ve last wrote, but with the David Haye signing on for a fight with Wladimir Klitschko, I thought there was no better time than this time say my thing about this. First of all, I’m shocked that Haye actually got through the entire negotiations process without sabotaging it in some way. I half suspected that Haye would do something to foul the thing up in one way or another just to avoid the prospect of getting beaten from one side of the ring to another by Wladimir, but the money was probably too good for him to resist.

Haye Gets His Big Money Fight Against Wladimir

wladimir44567By Scott Gilfoid: David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) must be feeling like he struck the jackpot right about now after signing for a June 20th bout against WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs), the best fighter in the heavyweight division. Just by getting into the fight, Haye will make out like a fat rat win or lose, and will make millions of dollars no matter what happens. I don’t think Haye should even be in the fight, because he’s done nothing to deserve to fight against the top fighter in boxing.

Is Haye Risking His Boxing Career Against Wladimir?

haye56346600By Chris Williams: It’s amusing to me seeing David Haye risk pretty much his entire boxing career in facing Wladimir Klitschko on June 20th in Germany. Haye seems ready to risk everything in hopes of beating Wladimir and taking Wladimir’s two titles home to England. The costs of losing to Wladimir are extreme, though, so I hope Haye is prepared for that experience.

Witter, 35, knows Bradley first hand, having lost his WBC title to him by a close 12-round split decision a year ago in May 2008.

Would Haye be a Good Heavyweight Champion?

haye3445520By Chris Williams: In looking at a worse case scenario of David Haye somehow defeating Wladimir Klitschko on June 20th to capture the IBF and WBO heavyweight titles, I’m wondering what kind of heavyweight champion Haye would turn out to be? Haye has a legion of followers who see him as a risk taker, a fighter who’s unafraid to fight anyone. I don’t things like that. In looking over Haye’s record while fighting as a cruiserweight, I see a lot of fluff in there, opponents that were nothing more than fodder to pad his record with.

Brewster: “Haye Has One Percent Chance of Beating Wladimir”

haye5357771By Chris Williams: Well, it looks like I’m not the only one that thinks that Wladimir Klitschko will be planting British heavyweight David Haye in the third round on June 20, it looks as if former World Boxing Organization heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster also thinks that Wladimir will win quite easily. According to Eastsideboxing.com, Brewster said that Wladimir Klitschko has a 99% percent chance of beating Haye, because Wladimir is a “natural born” heavyweight and isn’t someone that has recently moved up in weight like Haye has.

Haye-Klitschko: Would Boxing Be Better Off If Haye Knocks Wladimir Out?

wladimir569By Jim Slattengren: On June 20th, IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 46 KOs) defends his title against British heavyweight David Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) in Germany. Wladimir, 33, has now held onto the IBF heavyweight title for the past three years, but he’s failed miserably in fighting one fan-pleasing fight during that stretch of time, which has included six fights over mostly mediocre opposition.
