By Michael Lieberman: HBO president of Sports Ross Greenburg passed on one of IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko’s fights not long ago when he and his manager Bernd Boente proposed a fight between Klitschko and undefeated contender Alexander Povetkin. Greenburg made it clear then that he wasn’t interested in showing this fight, but he did leave open the door to show future fights between Klitschko and WBA heavyweight champion David Haye or Polish heavyweight Tomasz Adamek if those fighters were ever to happen.

Wladimir Klitschko boxing news
Klitschko vs. Adamek and Chisora will be a much better fights than Klitschko vs. Haye
By William Mackay: I’m glad that IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) has decided to take on both Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) and Tomasz Adamek (43-1, 28 KO’s) in his next two fights in 2011 instead of facing WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s). Adamek and Chisora will both come to fight and will make it entertaining throughout by attacking Wladimir and looking to make a fight of it. With Haye, all I can see is a bunch of running around the ring with Haye trying to avoid getting hit.

Haye’s retirement promise is working against him, as the Klitschkos are waiting him out
By Dave Lahr: WBA heavyweight champion David Haye really hurt himself with his retirement promise for October of this year. Haye plans on retiring by his 31st birthday in October instead of continuing his career. There was a change that this could have worked for him by getting the Klitschkos to feel a sense of urgency to get in the ring with Haye as soon as possible to beat his retirement date.
Wladimir Klitchko is a disgrace
By Shaun Campbell: The heavyweight division has been in decline ever since Lennox Lewis decided to hang up his gloves and retired from the sport over 7 years ago. Since then two brothers have dominated the weakened division, beating any challenges they faced, with a few occasional slip ups.
Why is Klitschko v Chisora a 5 star fight?
By Mohammed Nasir: If you go to boxrec.com right now and look up Wladimir Klitschko v Dereck Chisora you will see that it is rated as a 5 star fight. That’s just a stark example but anyone who follows boxing online will notice that a large section of the boxing community is looking forward to this as though it was Hagler v Hearns II, including some of the other writers on this site.
Wladimir says he took Chisora fight because he didn’t trust Haye
By Dan Ambrose: IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) recently decided to take an April 30th tune-up bout against Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) despite having a scheduled July 2nd bout on tap with WBA heavyweight champion David Haye.
Adamek vs. Klitschko in September: Does Tomasz have a chance against Wladimir?
By Dan Ambrose: Former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek (43-1, 28 KO’s) will finally be getting his big payday against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) in September in a fight that could be taking place in Poland. Adamek, 34, has been weaving his way though the heavyweight division like a skilled surgeon since moving up from the cruiserweight division in October 2009.
Will Haye’s heavyweight legacy suffer if he doesn’t fight at least one of the Klitschko brothers?
By Allen Hmiel: Talk-Talk-Talk, That is all that David Haye has seemed to ever do in his somewhat undistinguished boxing career especially during his lackluster tenure as the WBA’s paper heavyweight champion and designated braggart. What a show Haye has put on for who, I don’t know. Because Haye is accomplishing very little and is probably going to remembered for doing absolutely nothing in his heavyweight career. Stunning as it may be, the WBA seems to have a pacifist champion who doesn’t want to fight a quality contender and who is content to drag out his career doing nothing of note.
