Do today’s champions want the money more instead of the legendary respect?

By Allen Hmiel: Manny Pacquiao will possibly be making $20 million on his next fight against Shane Mosley, whereas Mosley will get $7 million as the opponent. The Klitschkos move to Germany to control their finances and dictate their terms. It seems apparent that most of the fighters today are more concerned with seeing how much they can earn without really fighting the best fighters available to challenge them. Boxing is more of a business today than it was years ago when mandatory challengers were usually the top 5 ranked in any weight class. The boxing organizations years back had control of who fought who and when for what belt.

Wladimir says Haye will eventually fight him

Image: Wladimir says Haye will eventually fight himBy Jim Dower: Speaking with Dan Rafael at ESPN, IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko says he thinks WBA heavyweight champion David Haye will eventually fight him before retiring from the sport. Wladimir says Haye is welcome to fight him still on July 2nd, because Wladimir has no problems with fighting Haye only two months after a tune-up fight with Dereck Chisora. However, Wladimir thinks Haye will be a loser if he retires without having faced him or his brother Vitali Klitschko.

Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko are just out-smarting the bewildered and confused David Haye!

Image: Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko are just out-smarting the bewildered and confused David Haye!By Allen Hmiel: Boxing heavyweight champions Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko are obviously outsmarting and out maneuvering the bewildered and confused British fighter and WBA heavyweight pretender David Haye. Highly educated with college degrees and a Ph’d (Vitali) the Klitschko brothers have been having a great time it seems stringing along the outclassed and confused David Haye. Intelligence and quick thinking seems to be in the brothers favor as they obviously are making David Haye the WBA heavyweight belt holder, flounder around in confusion looking for answers and trying to mount any type of a publicity campaign where Haye doesn’t look extremely foolish in his half-hearted effortless attempts to possibly making a fight with either brother.

Wladimir says Haye won’t fight Vitali

By William Mackay: IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is amused by the fact that WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is unwilling to fight his older brother WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko for some reason. With Wladimir unavailable to fight Haye now that Wladimir is lookint to fight Dereck Chisora on April 30th and Tomasz Adamek in September, Haye isn’t showing interest in fighting Vitali, the Klitschko brother with the better chance of being free for Haye during 2011.

Now, Wladimir will have to be content with the Chisora fight being a tune-up bout for a fight against Tomasz Adamek in September.

What kind of damage could Haye have done to Wladimir?

By Scott Gilfoid: In a way I’m kind of disappointed that the heavyweight unification bout between IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3. 49 KO’s) and WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) won’t be doing down. I would have liked to have seen the pure hell that would have erupted once Haye started teeing off on Wladimir with some of his prize winning rabbit shots. Can you imagine the damage Haye would have done to Wladimir had this fight actually gone down?

Wladimir says he doesn’t believe Haye will be retiring at the end of the year

Image: Wladimir says he doesn't believe Haye will be retiring at the end of the yearBy Scott Gilfoid: I just got a laugh after reading some of the comments made by Dan Rafael on his twitter. Rafael spoke to IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, who told Dan he doesn’t believe that WBA heavyweight champion David Haye will be retiring at the end of 2011 like Haye has been talking about. Wladimir thinks Haye is a liar and doesn’t trust him. This is why Wladimir wasn’t willing to wait around until July to fight Haye without taking a tune-up bout. Wladimir didn’t trust that Haye would actually make it to the fight. I don’t blame Wladimir.
