By Scott Gilfoid: WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder says Wladimir Klitschko would have knocked out IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua last Saturday night if he had his late trainer Emanuel Steward in his corner rather than his current trainer Johnathon Banks. Wilder noted that Joshua was still hurt 3 rounds after he was knocked down by Wladimir in round 6. Wilder thinks that Wladimir could have knocked out Joshua from rounds 6 through 9 if he had Steward still there in his corner, motivating him and pushing hard to finish the badly hurt Joshua.

By Scott Gilfoid: British promoter Eddie Hearn says a rematch between his fighter IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko is possible next depending on whether there’s interest in a second fight from the boxing public and whether Wladimir wants the rematch. The way that Wladimir, 41, has been talking lately, the rematch was a dead certainty, but Hearn has not seemed nearly as excited about a second fight between Joshua and Klitschko for some reason.

What will defeat mean for Wladimir’s legacy in the sport?

By Andy Hill: Father time is an opponent that will one day defeat us all and the world of professional boxing is certainly no exception to this rule with 41-year-old Wladimir Klitschko losing to Anthony Joshua last Saturday night. Unfortunately, more than any, the heavyweight division is littered with tales of fighters who have continued to lace up their gloves well beyond their expiration date. In the most dangerous division of the most dangerous of sports, it is the giants of the heavyweight division that suffer more than any if they fail to walk away from the sport at the right moment.

What is next for the old dragon Wladimir Klitschko?

Image: What is next for the old dragon Wladimir Klitschko?

By Gerardo Granados: Last night at Wembley Stadium, London, UK, Wladimir Klitschko lost to Anthony Joshua by TKO11 in a great fight. By the time of the stoppage, I had it scored 95-93 for Joshua; it was a competitive fight until the end. At the fifth round I thought it was all over for the old Dragon, but then he showed the heart and determination of a true Champion and knocked down Joshua in the next round. Thru the fight and mostly at the 11 round Wladimir earned all my respect and admiration, the old Dragon went out as a true ring warrior and no one can ever criticize him for not have taken a dangerous foe on his comeback.

Tyson Fury accepts Joshua’s fight offer

Image: Tyson Fury accepts Joshua’s fight offer

By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury has accepted last night’s fight offer made by IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua following his “life and death dance” with Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Joshua called out Fury while inside the ring after beating the 41-year-old Wladimir by an 11th round knockout. What was troubleing though is the fact that Joshua called out Fury despite having a rematch clause with Klitschko. So in other words, for a fight between Joshua and Fury to take place, Wladimir would have to choose to not execute his rematch clause in his contract.
