Kovalev says he’ll KICK Andre Ward if he fights dirty

1-kovalevwardarrivals_hoganphotos9

By Allan Fox: Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev says he’s prepared to fight dirty in response if challenger Andre “SOG” Ward resorts to dirty fighting this Saturday night in their match on HBO pay-per-view. Kovalev says if Ward fights dirty, he’ll kick him or use karate on him to retaliate. Kovalev points out that Ward hits low regularly in his fights.

Kovalev says he saw Ward use his elbow in his match against Sakio Bika six years ago in 2010. Kovalev says he wants a clean fight from Ward, but he’s prepared to retaliate if he’s met with these kinds of tactics in the fight. Hopefully, referee Robert Byrd does his job properly on Saturday night to keep the fight degrading into a fouling contest.

Kovalev’s trainer thinks Ward can be Knocked out early

1-kovalevwardarrivals_hoganphotos1

By Allan Fox: Trainer John David Jackson believes that unbeaten Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) is a fighter in decline and can be knocked out early by IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) this Saturday night in their fight on HBO pay-per-view. Jackson sees definite decline in Ward since he made his comeback three fights ago after being out of the ring for two years due to promotional issues.

Jackson still thinks Ward has something left in his game, but he notes that he’s not able to move like he used to and his reflexes aren’t the same. If Kovalev hurts Ward, the 32-year-old Oakland native could be taken out by him.

Sergey Kovalev and Andre Ward Las Vegas Arrivals

ward3333

By Allan Fox: Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) and IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champ Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) both arrived for their grand arrives in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday for their big fight on HBO pay-per-view this Saturday night. Both fighters looked in great spirits and confident. The two fighters will be facing each other at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday. It should be a great fight.

Ward, 32, is a slight favorite with the odds-makers, but that doesn’t mean much though, because it’s impossible to know how he’ll do in the fight. Ward hasn’t fought anybody good since making his comeback last year. His only quality fighter of the three opponents he’s faced recently was Sullivan Barrera, who Ward beat by scores that were more lopsided than the actual fight.

Ward’s trainer: Andre has the power to KO anyone

ward333

By Allan Fox: Trainer Virgil Hunter is sending a warning out to IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) that his fighter Andre “SOG” Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) has got the punching power to knockout anyone in the 175lb division and he means ANYONE. Ward will be looking to rip Kovalev’s three light heavyweight titles from him this Saturday night on November 19 on HBO pay-per-view from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If Ward can beat Kovalev, he’ll likely see himself crowned as the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter in boxing today. The win might not do much as far as creating a huge match against a star like Gennady “GGG” Golovkin though, because he’s not showing interest in moving up to 175 to fight the guys in that division.

Andre Ward is unbeatable at 175 says Bellew

kovalev

By Scott Gilfoid: WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew doesn’t see any fighter from 168 to 175 that can beat the undefeated Andre Ward (30-0, 15 Kos), and that includes IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs), who he’ll be facing this Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bellew raves about Ward’s boxing skills, comparing him to a young Bernard Hopkins, and seeing his inside game as being top notch. Bellew sees very little difference in the size of Ward and Kovalev despite Ward having moved up to the 175lb division just last year after having campaigned his entire career up to that point at super middleweight.

Kovalev beats Ward predicts Cleverly

Kov_Ward Presser

By Scott Gilfoid: WBA ‘regular’ light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly is predicting a 12 round decision win for IBF/WBA/WBO 175lb champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) in his fight against unbeaten talent Andre “SOG” Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) this Saturday night on HBO pay-per-view at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Cleverly sees Kovalev as the bigger fighter than Ward, even though both guys are the same height at 6-foot and look the same size inside the ring. Cleverly says Kovalev will be the busier fighter, and force Ward into a shell on Saturday night.

Ward vs. Kovalev: Boxer vs. Puncher

Kov_Ward Presser

By Eric Baldwin: This Saturday’s contest between former super middleweight champion Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) and IBF/WBA/WBO 175lb champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KO) is a classic example of a boxer vs. the puncher type of fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Despite Ward not being known for his punching power, he believes that the boxing fans might be surprised when it’s said and done on Saturday night, because he believes he possesses more than enough punching power to get the job done against the 33-year-old Kovalev.

Kovalev vs. Ward: Andre looking to recapture past glory

ward1

By Allan Fox: It’s been many years since Andre “SOG” Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) has faced a good opponent, but on Saturday night he’s going to be asking a great deal of his rusty body when he faces IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) on HBO PPV from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For Ward, this will be only his second fight against a real light heavyweight. Despite moving up to the 175lb division last year, Ward has been mostly fighting super middleweights for some reason. Only Ward and his promoters know why they’ve taken that path to this fight.
