hat3234By Darragh Grimes: In the early hours of May 3rd, Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2 37Ko) produced a sensational performance, knocking Ricky Hatton (45-2 32Ko) out in less than two rounds and stripping him of his IBO Light Welterweight title.

Pacquaio’s Power Too Much for One-Dimensional Hatton

By Simon Hirst: In a huge suprise, Manny Pacquaio knocked out Ricky Hatton in the 2nd round of their fight at the MGM in Las Vegas. The surprise isn’t so much that Manny Pacquaio beat Hatton, but it’s more the ease in which Pacquaio did it. Before the fight, Ricky Hatton looked sumpremely confident, arguably more confident and relaxed than Manny Pacquaio, but once the bell rung, it was a completely different story.

Hatton Must Find A Way to Beat Pacquiao

hat4333By Sean McDaniel: Ricky Hatton (45-1, 32 KOs) has a great deal riding on tonight’s bout with Filipino sensation Manny Pacquiao (48-3-2, 36 KOs), more than just bragging rights or Hatton’s little known IBO light welterweight title. What makes this fight so particularly important is that if Hatton can beat Pacquiao tonight at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Ricky stands a good chance of getting a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr., the only fighter ever to beat Hatton.

Hatton-Pacquiao: Ricky Looks Emaciated at Weigh-In

hat345342By Scott Gilfoid: I have a bad feeling about this fight after seeing how painfully thin Ricky Hatton looked at yesterday’s weigh-in with Manny Pacquiao for their clash tonight at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hatton weighed 140 on the dot, and he looked like a Jenny Craig diet survivor, emaciating looking. By appearances, I’d guess that Hatton was 40-years-old at the weigh-in, because the weight loss has given him a perfect old man look to him. I hope for his sake that he can put some weight back on through re-hydration before the fight.

News – Mosley Wants Winner of Hatton-Pacquiao

pac4534By Chris Williams: It always amuses me when Shane Mosley (46-5, 39 KOs) says something. Apparently, Mosley wants to fight the winner of the Ricky Hatton vs. Manny Pacquiao bout for Ricky’s International Boxing Organization title tonight at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada. I bet he does. It’s too bad Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to foul up Mosley’s wishes and leave him in the cold without either of Hatton or Pacquiao.

Hatton Wins Weigh-In Stare Down, Pacquiao Looks Scared

hat54624334By Manuel Perez: Well, Ricky Hatton has won the first part of tonight’s battle with Manny Pacquiao by beating him in yesterday’s weigh-in stare down, and causing Pacquiao to look away first. I can’t stress enough the importance of the winning the psychological part of boxing, because that plays a huge factor in the eventual outcome of a fight. Look at any big fight, and nine times out of ten, the ultimate winner of the fight had gained the upper hand mentally before the fight by psyching out his opponent.

Weigh-In: Hatton 140, Pacquiao 138 – Boxing News

hat43By Dave Lahr: At yesterday’s weigh-in for tonight’s IBO title bout at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ricky Hatton came in at 140, and Manny Pacquiao weighed in at 138. Both fighters are in top shape and appear to be ready to go for their huge mega fight tonight. Pacquiao (48-3-2, 36 KOs) is a solid favorite over two division champion Hatton (45-1, 32 KOs). However, despite being the underdog, Hatton looks confident and prepared to do battle with the Filipino star.

mayweather323434By Manuel Perez: Oscar De La Hoya let loose the dogs of war in an interview with Sky Sports, saying Floyd “Mayweather Sr. is a better coach [than Freddie Roach].” De La Hoya, 36, was previously trained by Roach, and said that he still loves him but thinks that Floyd is a better technical coach and better physically than Roach. De La Hoya said “I have to take my hat off to Ricky [Hatton] for picking Floyd Mayweather Sr. because that was the best thing he could do.”

Hatton-Pacquiao: Has Everybody Abandoned Ricky?

hatton9351By Chris Williams: As we get closer and closer to this Saturday’s bout between Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao, it’s become pretty clear that not too many boxing fans are on the side of Hatton in this fight. It didn’t start out that way a couple of months ago. At that time, there were legions of Hatton fans saying that he would be too big for the smaller, former featherweight Pacquiao.

News – De La Hoya Picks Hatton to Beat Pacquiao; Pascal vs. Diaconu on June 19th

dela4353234By Manuel Perez: Former six division champion Oscar De La Hoya (39-6, 30 KOs) is choosing Ricky Hatton (45-1, 32 KOs) to defeat Manny Pacquiao (48-3-2, 36 KOs) by knockout this Saturday night at MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada. You would think with De La Hoya getting savagely beaten in an 8th round stoppage loss to Pacquiao in December that De La Hoya would naturally side with Pacquiao in beating Hatton.
