By Matt Matel: After a string of near blow out victories over Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto, The main man Manny Pacquiao from General Santos City is now setting his sights on what could potentially be the most lucrative match in the history of boxing. The would be promoters of the match would most likely have the working title “Pound for Pound” which is more classy one compared to the last 2 outings that Pacquiao had (Firepower and East vs West).

Why Khan would stop Pacquiao
By Jason Hunton: Amir Khan is the man to stop Manny Pacquiao. Why you may ask? The answer is glaringly obvious when you take all factors into account. People seem to be over estimating Manny’s abilities due to the nature of his recent ‘lucky’ victories, Oscar De la Hoya was clearly weight drained and even then still got the better of Manny until Nacho Beristain stopped the fight prematurely.

Pacquiao’s win over Cotto is blown out of Proportion
By Klaas Mabetlela: It looks like we are all caught in our own excitement or disappointment to blow Manny Pacquiao’s win out of proportion. The great thing about Pacquiao’s slaughter of Miguel Cotto is that is has rejuvenated boxing in general and brought back some lost masses to the fistic arena. Boxing has not really been shinning in the past few years but Pacquiao’s recent performances, style and destruction of Cotto are all welcome to help boxing hold its own against other codes. But do we really need to exaggerate for and against this fantastic win?
Pacquiao the ‘Fighter of the Year’ for 2009?
By Manuel Perez: Now that we’re getting close to the end of 2009, some of the popular magazines and what not will probably be selecting a ‘Fighter of the Year’ award for 2009. Well, knowing how much of a big deal was made out of Manny Pacquiao’s win over Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton in 2009, some of them might think about giving the award to Pacquiao. Personally, I wouldn’t even consider giving that award to Pacquiao. If they want to give the award to someone, they need to give it to Amir Khan.
Pacquiao vs. Mayweather: Will Manny get his ear’s boxed off?
By Dave Lahr: Manny Pacquiao won’t be facing a weight drained fighter if the bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. is made nor will Pacquiao be fighting an opponent that had the living daylights beaten out of him in a recent fight like Miguel Cotto did in his bout with tough Mexican brawler Antonio Margarito last year. Pacquiao might as well retire now and go into politics or something because when he faces Mayweather, Manny will be taking a really tough opponent.
Five Arguments Why You Should Bet on Pacquiao – Boxing
By Derrick P. Villanueva: 1.) Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is Stronger than Floyd “Money” Mayweather – In his recent fight with Cotto, he turned the proud Puerto Rican’s face into raw hamburger. The only other time I’ve seen him look that bad is when he got pummeled with Antonio “Hands of Plaster” Margarito. The ‘Pacman’ also made Oscar De La Hoya quit on his stool, something he’s never done in his career. And do we dare forget the demolition of then 140 lbs. king Ricky Hatton?
Pacquiao vs. Cotto: Same as Margarito-Cotto?

By Dave Lahr: The Miguel Cotto vs. Manny Pacquiao bout brought in 1.25 million pay-per-view buys, which is good in terms of 2009 fights, but doesn’t beat some of the past fights involving Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Oscar De La Hoya. Overall, the bout, which turned out to be one-sided fight with Pacquiao dominating the action and stopping a beat up looking Cotto in the 12th, earned $70 million in pay-per-view money.
