Image: Lamon Brewster making comeback, wants WladimirBy Eric Thomas: 39-year-old former WBO heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster (35-6, 30 KO’s) says he’s planning on coming out of retirement following surgery on his cornea and he wants rematch against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko after Brewster gets in two or three tune-ups first.

Speaking with esnewsreporting.com, Brewster said “I’m back to normal. Me and Wladimir are bonded. I’m the worst nightmare for him…It won’t be like the second fight. If I have two or three tune-ups. I’m back to break the tie. I think Wladimir needs to take that opportunity. He never wobbled me. He just hit me with jabs.”

Image: Lamon Brewster announces retirement from boxing - NewsBy Jim Dower: Former World Boxing Organization (WBO) heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster (35-6, 30 KO’s) has reportedly announced his retirement from boxing today after 14 years as a professional fighter. Brewster, 37, is one of the few fighters that hold wins over Wladimir Klitschko. In a press release sent out today, Brewster said that he had couldn’t see out of his left eye and had four unsuccessful surgeries to try and fix the problem. He lost sight out of the eye in his last fight against Robert Helenius a year ago.
