Roach: Pacquiao vs. Horn fight won’t last long
By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach doesn’t expect challenger Jeff Horn to last very long this Saturday night in the Pacquiao-Horn fight at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia. Roach sees his fighter Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KOs) successfully defending his WBO welterweight title and picking up win No.60 in front of a crowd that could be as large as 55,000 fans in Australia.

By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2, 38 KOs) has started his official training with his longtime trainer Freddie Roach as of last Sunday to get ready for his July 2 title defense against fellow Top Rank fighter Jeff Horn (16-0-1, 11 KOs) at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia. Roach: Canelo beats Chavez Jr. and possibly GGG
By Jeff Aranow: Trainer Freddie Roach believes that Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. tonight in their fight on HBO PPV, and then potentially Gennady “GGG” Golovkin in September if that fight gets made. Roach isn’t sure if Canelo’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya wants to take the risk yet of having his “cash cow” Canelo beaten by GGG, so he’s not sure if we’ll see the Canelo-Golovkin fight yet.
Roach thinks that the 35-year-old Golovkin has slipped a bit recently with his last 2 fights against Daniel Jacobs and Kell Brook, both of which he still beat.
Watch: Roach worried Chavez Jr. might be weakened by making weight
By Dan Ambrose: Trainer Freddie Roach says he’s hearing from his sources that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (50-2-1, 32 KOs) still is 8 pounds away from the 164 ½ pound catch-weight limit for his fight this Saturday night against Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Video: Roach wants Cotto vs. Golovkin fight
By Jeff Aranow: Trainer Freddie Roach wants his inactive fighter Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33 KOs) to step inside the ring with IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs). Roach says Cotto can beat Golovkin because he’s the better boxer. He says he’ll beat Golovkin just like he beat Saul Canelo Alvarez in 2015. For the record, Canelo beat Cotto but he was given a questionable 12 round decision. A lot of boxing fans thought Cotto deserved the win or the very least a draw against Canelo. The judges spoke, and they gave the ‘W’ to Canelo.

When the two of them were sitting next to each other last Saturday during a Showtime Boxing interview, Thurman wouldn’t look at Spence during the entire time they were sitting.

Wladimir talks about having a gene that makes him want to compete.
Roach says Jeff Horn to get Pacquiao ready for Mikey Garcia
By Dan Ambrose: Trainer Freddie Roach says there’s a possibility that former eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao will be facing lightweight champion Mikey Garcia in his second fight of the 2017 after he gets done with his July 2 title defense of his WBO welterweight belt against Jeff Horn. Roach says the Horn (16-0-1, 11 KOs) fight is a tune-up to get the 38-year-old Pacquiao ready for a potential much bigger fight against Mikey Garcia (35-0, 30 KOs).
Roach: Andre Ward beats Gennady Golovkin
By Allan Fox: After noticing how much problems Daniel Jacobs (32-2, 29 KOs) gave middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) with his boxing ability in their fight on March 18, trainer Freddie Roach says he’s changed his mind about Triple G being able to move up to light heavyweight to take on and beat champion Andre “SOG” Ward.
