By Brian Kenneth Blackwell: Tonight Floyd Mayweather Jr. made one thing very clear. He cannot be beaten at this stage of his career by a smaller man. He simply has too much speed, and that negates the one advantage a smaller fighter brings with him. This goes for any and all smaller challengers relevant to the sport of boxing at this moment.

Mayweather-Marquez: The Significance of The Catch-Weight
By Matthew Fogg: Firstly, I am sure there will be many arguments and comments raised on and from several different boxing sources on this subject, but from what I saw at the weigh-in between the fighters Floyd Mayweather Jr. (39-0, 25KO’s) and Juan Manuel Marquez (50-4-1, 37KO’s) I feel inclined to comment.
Mayweather comes in at 146, Marquez at 142
By Alex Miles: At the weigh in for tonight’s fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd Mayweather Jr., there appeared to be a sneaky bit of rigging that has gone unnoticed from the public eye. According to Dan Rafael who was at the weigh in, “Juan Manuel Marquez filed his contract yesterday at 144 pounds… and according to Golden Boy sources, Mayweather’s had been changed to include a 147 pound maximum. They [Marquez and his team] agreed to it as long as a certain amount of money was paid.”
Mayweather’s Rules
By Eric Torres: Hello boxing fans, I wake up this morning having pondered the controversial weight in for the Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez upcoming super-fight and as a fight fan I am very disappointed in Mayweather Jr. and his actions. I have many opinions about Floyd Mayweather Jr. some good and some bad during his illustrious career, but I am writing today to denounce his actions from last nights weight in.
The Catch Weight Debate: Chapter 2
By Tom Stokes: I recently wrote an article involving the catch weights between the Floyd Mayweather (39-0, 25 KO’s), Juan Manuel Marquez (50-4, 37 KO’s) and Miguel Cotto (34-1, 27 KO’s), Manny Pacquiao (49-3, 37 KO’s) super fights. Now for those of you who saw the weight in for the Mayweather/Marquez super fight, I doubt I’m the only one who was shocked.
Mayweather Might Win on Saturday, But He Probably Won’t Last For Long
By Jason Kim: Floyd Mayweather Jr. probably will have enough left in the tank to beat lightweight Juan Manuel Marquez on Saturday night at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada, but I don’t see Mayweather lasting too much longer at the top of the sport. Typically, fighters that retire and make a comeback fail more often than not. I don’t if it’s the age, or the changes that occur in one’s body after a fighter stops training.
Floyd “Money” Mayweather: What’s A Guy To Do?
By Chris Kelly: It’s not easy being Floyd “Money” Mayweather. Although without said money, it would certainly be a lot harder. Mayweather Jr. has maintained a perfect unbeaten mantle throughout his career and retired a five-time world Champion with an impressive record of 39-0 (25) boasting wins over an array of high caliber fighters, including Aturo Gatti, Diego Corrales, Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya.
Mayweather admits that there are other fighters he has to beat to be considered the best
By Dave Lahr: In a shocking revelation from Floyd Mayweather Jr., he admitted that he has to fight some other fighters to be considered one of the best fighters. “There are a few more guys I have to beat in my era for people to say that Floyd Mayweather was the best. There’s no doubt that they are going to say that when I’ve beaten the guys I’ve got to beat.”
Roach sees Mayweather-Marquez as a Dull Fight, Thinks Floyd Will Win
By Manuel Perez: Freddie Roach is back to his art of predicting fights again, this time Roach is predicting that Floyd Mayweather Jr. will beat Juan Manuel Marquez on Saturday. “I like Mayweather to win on a decision, although it might be a boring fight because they are both naturally counter punchers,” Roach said.
Mayweather vs. Marquez: Will Floyd run from a Lightweight?
By Chris Williams: I’m really hoping Floyd Mayweather Jr. puts in one of his better performances this Saturday night against Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas. I have high hopes that Mayweather will feel the pressure to perform because of all the negative feedback that he’s been receiving in the past couple of weeks about his dull fighting style.
