By Dave Lahr: It’s been ages since IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) fought someone with the right ingredients to knock him out and expose his weak chin. On April 30th, Wladimir’s time as a champion will likely come to an abrupt halt when he faces one of the best kept secrets in boxing in unbeaten 27-year-old Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s).

Haye’s manager slams Wladimir for fighting Chisora

By Jason Kim: Adam Booth, the manager/trainer for WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s), fired back on IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) after the Ukrainian heavyweight had said a day earlier that the July 2nd date is still open for Haye to step in and fight him. Haye walked away from a July 2nd fight with Wladimir after he chose to take a tune-up fight against Dereck Chisora on April 30th. Wladimir has over and over again assured Haye that he still wants to fight him on July 2nd, but Haye isn’t having any of it. He doesn’t trust that Wladimir will make the fight so soon after his April 30th bout against Chisora.

Wladimir may have ruined his chance for Haye fight by choosing Chisora tune-up bout

By Michael Lieberman: IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) may have thrown out his big money fight against WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) out the window by choosing to take on a needless tune-up fight against Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) on April 30th. That fight has effectively turned off Haye, causing him to lose interest in the Klitschko fight. Haye is now looking to play out his string by defending his WBA title against his mandatory challenger Ruslan Chagaev and then against one of the other heavyweight contenders that the World Boxing Association has ranked for him to fight.
