By Jim Dower: Amir Khan (26-3, 18 KO’s) suffered a huge blow to his once promising career tonight in losing to WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia (24-0, 15 KO’s) by a 4th round TKO at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas. Khan’s old WBA light welterweight title also was on the line for the fight.

Danny Garcia’s father and in the end will make Amir Khan shine and gain a title. It is true that Danny Garcia is a very good fighter and is talented, undefeated and still has a future in boxing after he’s defeated tonight.

Garcia wants people to know that it’s Khan who is the opponent and Garcia the champion, although technically it’s now a unification bout after the World Boxing Association stripped Lamont Peterson and handed his title over to Khan rather than having him work for it.
