By Allan Fox: The recently retired former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi says that Daniel Jacobs should mix it up with middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin this Saturday night in their fight on HBO pay-per-view. Malignaggi sees the best way for Jacobs to beat Golovkin is to start quickly and brawl with him the same way that Kell Brook did last September. Brook had a lot of success when he throwing combinations in round 2.

Gennady Golovkin: The Boogie Man of the Middleweight Division
By Dimond Dallas: With his toughest test just around the corner, the Boxing world is all buzzing about the Boxing Machine from Kazakhstan. Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin, more affectionately known quite simply as just Triple G to his ever growing legions of fans, has been a man on a mission in the last few years. With a single minded focus on unifying all the titles in the middleweight division, he has set out to cement his name in history books as one of the all time greats. And with just the smallest portion of the world title out of his grasp he seems truly set to achieve his goal. But another interesting trend has emerged of late…
Golovkin vs. Jacobs & Roman Gonzalez vs Wisaksil Wangek review
By Harry Rowland: On paper this is the best fight in the Middleweight division, unless you consider Saul Alvarez a Middleweight and not a super Welterweight or Super Middleweight, which are the divisions he fought in last, and will be fighting in his upcoming contest, respectively.
Jacobs 32-1 (29) is a career Middleweight, has vast experience having turned professional almost a decade ago, is also in his prime at 30, and he has had a good recent win over Peter Quillin, for the WBA regular Middleweight title which has afforded him this mandatory challenge to the unified champion.
If Jacobs can smother Golovkin, he can beat him says Rosado
By Allan Fox: Gabriel Rosado sees this Saturday’s middleweight showdown between IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and WBA ‘regular’ champion Daniel Jacobs coming down to whether Jacobs can handle the punching power of Triple G. Rosado feels that Jacobs will win the fight if he can take the power of Golovkin, and smother his offense in some manner. Rosado doesn’t come right out and say it, but he seems to believe that Jacobs has the boxing skills to get the victory over Golovkin if he doesn’t get knocked out.
Is Golovkin coming into Jacobs fight too light?
By Eric Baldwin: Trainer Abel Sanchez says Gennady Golovkin started his training camp at just 170 pounds for his fight against Daniel Jacobs on Saturday night. This is lower than what Golovkin usually weighs when he starts his camps. The lower weight that Golovkin is coming into Saturday’s Jacobs fight might be a mistake on his part, and he’s really worried. Normally, Golovkin rehydrates to around 170 for his fights. This means that he starts his training camps well above 170.

Jacobs won’t let Golovkin hit him
By Chris Williams: Gennady Golovkin is going to need to work for each punch he lands against Daniel Jacobs because he’s not going to let him connect with his power shots. Jacobs is well aware that Golovkin is a huge puncher, and for that reason, he doesn’t plan on letting him connect with his shots. Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) had problems hitting his last opponent Kell Brook last year. Jacobs has seen everything that Brook did in that fight, and he knows how to avoid letting him land anything on him.
Sanchez: Jacobs will get punished by GGG if he makes it 12 rounds
By Jim Dower: Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) does not plan on winding up as Gennady “GGG” Golovkin’s 24th consecutive knockout victim this Saturday night in their fight on HBO pay-per-view. Jacobs has designs on either knocking Golovkin out or winning a 12 round unanimous decision in an impression manner.
