By William Mackay: British junior middleweight Craig Watson (19-3, 8 KO’s) knocked WBA Super World light welterweight champion Amir Khan (24-1, 17 KO’s) down six years ago when they fought in the ABA, knocking Khan down in the 3rd round. Watson, 28, would like nothing better than to get an opportunity to knock Khan down again, but this time in the pro ranks.

Was Watson Given The Shaft In Loss To O’Donnell?

watson434By Sean McDaniel: Having seen the Commonwealth welterweight title match between former champion Craig Watson (13-3, 4 KOs) and challenger John O’Donnell (21-1, 9 KOs) several times now, I can’t help thinking that Watson, 26, was royally screwed over in losing the fight by a 12-round split decision to O’Donnell. I’m not sure what fight the judges were watching, but it couldn’t have been this one because I had Watson easily winning by an 8 rounds to 4 margin.

Watson, 26, fought well in through much of the fight using his jab, right hooks and left hands to control the tempo of the fight against challenger O’Donnell.
