By Scott Gilfoid: Kalle Sauerland, the promoter for Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO’s), doesn’t think the judges will be needed for the September stage 3 Super Six bout between Abraham and former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s). Sauerland said this in response to the bellyaching from Froch, who is overly worried about not being able to win a decision if the Abraham-Froch fight takes place in Germany. Ever since Froch lost his stage 2 Super Six bout to Mikkel Kessler by a 12 round unanimous decision in April in a fight in Kessler’s home country of Denmark, Froch has been stressing about not losing another by what he feels is an unfair decision.

Froch wants to fight Abraham in Ireland, Showtime to decide in next few days
By Scott Gilfoid: If former WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) gets his way his next fight against Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO’s) will be taking place in Dublin, Ireland rather than Monaco or some other venue on September 18th or October 2nd. However, Showtime will be deciding where the fight will ultimately take place in the next few days, which is good news for boxing fans tired of all this nonsense about venues.

Ward, 26, now would like nothing better to fight Froch, his fellow Super Six tournament contestant to show him who better fighter is. My my, it looks like Froch has really stepped in it this time.

Froch, 32, was beaten by Kessler in April by a 12 round decision in Herning, Denmark. Not only did Froch suffer his first defeat of his eight year pro career, but he also lost his World Boxing Council super middleweight title to Kessle in the process. Froch, speaking in his column at thisisnottingham.co.uk, said “I would not leave it to the judges in a rematch…Congratulations, Mikkel, but you’re only borrowing that belt.”

This is one of the fight venues that Froch, 32, has been asking for recently to help ensure that he gets a fair deal from the judges. Froch was beaten by Mikkel Kessler in his last Super Six bout on April 24th, in Kessler’s home country of Denmark.
