By Jim Dower: On the Calvin Murphy show today, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr. called in and ended up battling it out in a back and forth hilarious argument. Jones, 40, offered to fight Hopkins with the winner getting 60% and the loser 40% of the revenue. However, Hopkins was having none of it, insisting that Jones take 40%. Near the end of the call, Jones went even further, saying that the two fighters could fight in a winner take all bout with the victor getting everything. At that point, Hopkins clearly not interested, hung up.

Who Should Hopkins fight next?
By Harlan Davies: After conquering Kelly Pavlik last November in a display of mastery of the Sweet Science, B-Hop has been on the hunt to pit himself against another worthwhile opponent. There seems to be a drought of credible opponents orbiting around 175 pounds for the old veteran but being at the age of 44, the sand in the hourglass is starting to run thin for him with the inevitable father-time creeping up on him.
Questions About the Light Heavyweight Rankings
By Adam Fillingham:
Chad Dawson
Chad is a GOOD fighter. Nothing more. But due to his unbeaten record he is ranked at no.1 in the rankings. Now Dawson has a great combination of speed, power and skill, but hasn’t been truly tested by a great fighter and still only just came threw against Glen Johnson. Does he deserve his place at number one. In my opinion no he doesn’t.
Hopkins Predicting a Victory for Pacquiao over Cotto; Haye finds a Soft Opponent With Valuev – News
By Chris Williams: For what it’s worth, Bernard Hopkins is predicting that Manny Pacquiao will stop Miguel Cotto in their November 14th fight at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hopkins made this revelation last night on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights. Hopkins sees the fight as being a turbulent one in the early rounds, but that Pacquiao’s ability will shine through in the 2nd half of the fight.
Hopkins Wants the Winner of Dawson vs. Johnson – Boxing
By Matt Stein: Former middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins (49-5-1, 32 KO’s) dropped a bombshell last night when he suddenly announced on Friday Night Fights that he’s interested in fighting the winner of the November fight between Chad Dawson (28-0, 17 KO’s) and Glen Johnson (49-12-2, 33 KO’s) next. This is a shocking revelation for the 44-year-old Hopkins, because he’s been hesitant to fight Dawson previously, saying that he didn’t want to hurt the sport of boxing by destroying anymore of it’s future stars.
Why Wont Anybody Fight Hopkins?
By Liam Santiago: After giving Kelly Pavlik a boxing lesson over twelve rounds, Bernard Hopkins should have a queue of the worlds top fighters waiting to fight him. Sadly, this is not the case. Even at the late boxing age of 44, Hopkins is still proving too much of a risk for the young up-coming boxers today. His unique tricky style, along with a granite chin, fearful power and a great desire to win make him one of the best pound for pound fighters around today.
Hopkins should Fight for the Heavyweight Title against Wlad
By Giancarlo Malinconico: With the Hopkins-Adamek previously planned match for the Summer of 2009 falling through, and with Wlad Klitschko’s dominate performance over Chagaev, I beg the question: Why not pit Hopkins against Klitschko?
Should Hopkins Go After Valuev Rather than Froch?
By William Mackay: Bernard Hopkins (49-5-1, 32 KOs) has been mentioned as potential opponent for WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (25-0, 20 KOs) in September, but I’m hoping that Hopkins doesn’t sell himself short and take this fight because there are bigger and better things out there for the 44-year-old Hopkins starting with WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev (50-1, 34 KOs).
