Maidana says when he tags Khan “The fight is over”

Image: Maidana says when he tags Khan "The fight is over"By William Mackay: There’s little question that WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KO’s) has the better boxing skills compared to WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (29-1, 27 KO’s). The problem for Khan is he also has a glass chin, and has been matched against soft opposition for most of his career. He’s fought one hard puncher during his career and he lost that fight in a 1st round knockout defeat to Colombian Breidis Prescott. Maidana is a more powerful version of Prescott, but the ability to knockout foes at close distance, something that Prescott isn’t nearly as good at.

Khan thinks the Maidana fight will take him to the next level

Image: Khan thinks the Maidana fight will take him to the next levelBy William Mackay: WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KO’s) sees his December 11th fight against Marcos Maidana (29-1, 27 KO’s) taking him to another level in popularity among boxing fans. Khan, 23, takes on the toughest and perhaps the strongest puncher in his career in the 28-year-old Maidana. Before this fight, Khan has been mostly matched selectively against guys that his management knew he could beat. Maidana is a fighter that Khan has been kept away from for the past year with the excuse that Maidana wasn’t well known enough in the United States for the fight to take place.

By William Mackay: WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (29-1, 27 KO’s) is ready for any tricks that World Boxing Association light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KO’s) might have for their December 11th fight at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Great Britain vs. The World: Preview (Part 1) Khan, Chisora

By Shaun Campbell: Firstly, before the preview of a great night of boxing on December 11th I would like to start by wondering why yet again I have been forced to read more bias drivel by certain authors on this site who will remain nameless. As always, with my articles I will try and offer a fair analysis of up coming fights. The subjectivity of other articles makes them almost unreadable at times, and therefore ruining this site I once used to respect.

Roach thinks Khan’s knockout loss was a fluke thing, sees him beating Maidana

Image: Roach thinks Khan's knockout loss was a fluke thing, sees him beating MaidanaBy William Mackay: Trainer Freddie Roach is under the impression that Amir Khan’s 1st round knockout loss two years ago to Breidis Prescott was nothing more than a fluke thing, something that just happened. Roach sees it something that won’t be repeated for Khan’s next fight against WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (29-1, 27 KO’s) in their fight on December 11th, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Amir Khan – Glass Jaw? Actually NO, and here’s why…

Image: Amir Khan - Glass Jaw? Actually NO, and here's why...By Jon Neale: For over 2 years every time Amir Khan is due to fight someone the inevitable outcry regardless of who the opponent is, is that Khan has one major weakness and that of course is his inability to take a punch. In just over a weeks’ time Khan will step into the squared circle to face Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas. Surprising though it is given that his opponent is the hard hitting Marcos Maidana, the journalistic masses are once again banging on the ‘Glass Jaw’ drum, to a point where, by Fight Night, it will be at fever pitch!

Khan will make a name for himself in the U.S if he beats Maidana

Image: Khan will make a name for himself in the U.S if he beats MaidanaBy Alex Sharp: World Boxing Association (WBA) light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KO’s) faces challenger Marcos Maidana (29-1, 27 KO’s) on December 11th in what should be the toughest fight of his career to date. There is no doubt that the big question mark in relation to Khan is will he be able to withstand the punching power of Maidana. I am a big fan of Khan and think he is a talented fighter but all of his talents are useless at this level unless he can take a punch. Khan has come a long way since his 1st round knockout loss to Breidis Prescott two years ago but I believe that was the best thing that could have happened to him at that stage of his career.

Khan v Maidana; shades of grey…

Image: Khan v Maidana; shades of grey…By Paddy Dwyer: Sometimes in this noble art we are presented with fights which appear to have an obvious outcome. No one truly believed that Audley stood a chance against David Haye. No one truly believes that Derek Chisora has a hope against Wladimir Klitschko. But there is a world title fight on the horizon which seems to draw polarized predictions from fans and writers alike, with their respective advocates incredulously denouncing the views of their counterparts.
