By Shaun Campbell: Firstly, I am one of many people who is a fan of Welshman Enzo Maccarinelli. He is truly one of boxing’s nice guys. In a sport where so many world champions feel the need to disrespect each other, or enjoy the good life a little too much, the past 11 years have been a refreshing change as Maccarinelli has given British fight fans so many wonderful nights.

Haye Shows His Human Side
By Kieran Gallagher: David Haye has shown a rare glimpse of his more human side after describing himself as ‘extremely upset’ by the brutal manner in which his former foe Enzo Maccarinelli was knocked out in the 7th round at LG Arena, Birmingham on 18th September.
Haye is possibly the biggest trash talker in boxing today. In the past he has described Nikolai Valuev as a circus freak and the ugliest man he has ever met, he has worn a t-shirt displaying both Klitschko brothers with decapitated heads, and more recently predicted his upcoming bout with Audley Harrison “will be more one-sided than a gang rape.”
Maccarinelli-Frenkel: Look for Alexander to destroy Enzo in four
By Scott Gilfoid: Former WBO cruiderweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli (32-4, 25 KO’s) is one of those fighters that you naturally want to see win after all the hard luck the guy has suffered in the past years with his three knockout losses. On Saturday night, the 6’4” Maccarinelli will be fighting Ukrainian Alexander Frenkel (22-0, 17 KO’s) in a fight for Maccarinelli’s EBU cruiserweight title at the LG Arena, in Birmingham. I really want Maccarinelli to do well and find success. Goodness knows, boxing needs a fighter like him with his explosive power and his exciting. Maccarinelli is like the cruiserweight version of Wladimir Klitschko.
Alexander Frenkel vs. Enzo Maccarinelli prediction
By William Mackay: In one of the better fights on the Magnificent Seven card at the LG Arena, in Birmingham, undefeated cruiserweight contender Alexander Frenkel (22-0, 17 KO’s) will be taking a big step up in competition against former World Boxing Organization cruiserweight champion and current EBU champion Enzo Maccarinelli (32-4, 25 KO’s) in a 12 round bout. Both of these fighters are deeply flawed and it’s really hard to pick a winner in this fight. Frenkel hits hard and has knockout power with either hand. However, he’s no hand speed at all and his defense is rather poor.

Magnificent 7 Preview (Part 2): Rhodes-Konecny, Maccarinelli-Frenkel, DeGale-Dilks
European Junior Middleweight Title:
Ryan Rhodes (44-4, 30 KO) vs. Lukas Konecny (44-3, 21 KO)
Ryan Rhodes amazing comeback story is looking for new chapters to add. After upsetting the odds and beating Jamie Moore in one of the domestic fights of the year, Rhodes impressively dispatched of Luca Messi in his first defence of the European light-middleweight title. Hoping to finally win a world title, Rhodes must get past challengers such as Konecny who, while being on a roll of 8 straight wins, shouldn’t have enough to take Rhodes title.
Maccarinelli vs. Frenkel: Does Enzo get knocked out again?
By William Mackay: European Boxing Union (EBU) cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli (32-4, 25 KO’s) will be taking a big gamble in his next fight against unbeaten German based contender Alexander Frenkel (22-0, 17 KO’s) in Frank Warren’s Magnificent Seven competition at the LG Arena, Birmingham, West Midlands, England. Maccarinelli, 29, thinks this fight will further resurrect his once promising career. It certainly hurt, as the 25-year-old Frenkel is currently ranked #9 WBA, #10 IBF and #11 WBO, and has knockout power in either hand.
