The IBF’s No. 3 and No. 4 ranked junior welterweights will clash Friday, July 29 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN3.com for the right to meet newly crowned International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior welterweight champion Amir Khan.

By Eric Thomas: This Friday’s International Boxing Federation light welterweight eliminator bout between Lamont Peterson (28-1-1, 14 KO’s) and Victor Cayo (26-1, 18 KO’s) will technically pick the mandatory challenger for Amir Khan’s IBF belt.

Finishing up training for one of the most critical fights of his boxing career, the Dominican Republic’s once-beaten IBF #3-rated Victor “Mermelada” Cayo (20-1, 18 KOs) says he’s too strong and too fast to be denied a victory against Washington DC’s International Boxing Federation (IBF) #4-ranked Lamont Peterson.

The undercard has been announced for the Warriors Boxing blockbuster FIGHT NIGHTS at The Cosmopolitan III at The Chelsea Friday, July 29 and televised live on ESPN Friday Night Fights.
