Undefeated junior middleweight champion Vanes “The Nightmare” Martirosyan (30-0, 19KO’s) is looking to secure a major fight this fall. The World Boxing Council’s top rated junior middleweight had his sights set on a Mexican Independence Day show down with Mexican star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez but that might not come to fruition any time soon.

World Boxing Council (WBC) silver junior middleweight title holder Vanes Martirosyan was impressed with Saul Alvarez’s dominating performance over Ryan Rhodes on Saturday night. Alvarez (37-0-1, 27 KOs) closed the show by stopping Rhodes in the 12thg round.
