By Francisco Hernandez: In the fourth round of his last fight, Juan Manuel Lopez’s legs began to do the Elvis Presley shake after Lopez got smacked by Rafael Marquez; luckily the referee stopped the action with the pretext of deducting a point from Lopez, and practically saved Lopez from being knocked out. Yaqui warrior Orlando Salido hits a lot harder than Rafael Marquez and if he connects Lopez, the referee will not be able to save Lopez because he will go straight to the canvas.

Juan Manuel Lopez is that type of fighter who believes that offense is the best defense, and until now few opponents have been able to put Juan Manuel Lopez in a defensive posture. Lopez will not want to play it safe like Yuriorkis Gamboa who bored fans by staying away from Salido and hiding in a defensive shell. This will give Orlando Salido many chances to connect Lopez, and Lopez has a vulnerable chin. After Lopez gets hit he might decide to become defensive.

Orlando Salido is not a fighter that Juan Manuel Lopez can just push around, Salido is going to hit back hard. Salido went the distance against Gamboa, and Salido was the aggressor for 95% of that fight. The only thing that saved Gamboa from getting knocked out was his speed and his reluctance to trade with Salido.

Trainer Daniel Zaragoza has figured out Juan Manuel Lopez after the fight with Rafael Marquez, he will be putting that knowledge to work with Orlando Salido. The fight will be in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the referee and the judges are going to protect Juan Manuel Lopez. Salido is going to need a kayo win. Expect to see Juan Manuel Lopez running for the first time in front of his hometown fans.
