Perhaps, Maidana and his team did not have sufficient time to establish a strategy? These declarations by the Argentinean were an indication that they did not have a pre-established plan to try to obtain a victory.

In the other corner, in the team of the “Successor” Amir Khan, things were completely different; they were speaking about future fights and stated that due to the close friendship that both of Roach’s fighters share, a bout with the Philippine “Phenomenon” was out of their plans.

As we can see, these positions show the level of confidence in each team, Maidana would make adjustments against Khan, and Amir and his team were thinking about their future bouts. In this technological age, it’s unusual that a fighter of the stature of Maidana would enter a bout without a plan for their fight. Videos are a tool that are within reach of thousands of fans and I suspect that they are also within the reach of Maidanas’ team, but, their aforementioned statement left me with many questions in regards to this matter.

I’m sure that the skillful and shrewd Roach watched many fight videos of the Argentinean, and that gave him the base to establish a plan A and
surely even a secondary plan B. Maindana, on the other hand behaved like an old school fighter, as in the past it was difficult to obtain information of rivals, it was a tool used to read the opponent. But, to talk in terms of the present day it is slightly unprofessional to not utilize all the tools currently available.

This, in addition to the reasons that I mentioned in previous articles about this fight, indicated to me that the Argentinean came with only one
plan of connecting a lucky punch against Khan. While I’m certain Khan entered the ring with the instructions he needed in order to keep Maidana
from obtaining the lucky punch he sought.

I don’t believe Roach and Ariza would have agreed to this bout without taking all the necessary precautions to ensure that the “Successor” would
come away with the victory. They have their “nutritive program”, which Pacquiao has mentioned has no idea what they contain, but, with which they have revolutionized modern day boxing. With it they turn regular fighters which was Khan just 2 years ago, into super fighters capable of doing exploits that border on the unbelievable by jumping weight classes and destroying bigger and stronger fighters.

This was the beginning, Roach as I can see already has the Successor to the Philippine star and it’s the British Amir Khan. Maidana is a strong
fighter, but he faced a new boxer in the current Khan, who sparred with Manny in his recent training camp, and was able to impress Roach. How can someone like Maidana, have the strength to face the machine into which they have converted Khan? That boxer that we saw strolling around without course in his fight with Breidis Prescott doesn’t exist anymore. Now it’s different, Khan is stronger, faster and possesses the confidence that comes with having a couple of “Geniuses” like Roach and Ariza in his corner.

After reading about both of them in different sites, I imagined that would be the fight to put the name of Amir Khan on top. His manager has already spoken of his next bout and has mentioned London as a possible venue.

To conclude, I believe that Roach and his team have begun the work to construct their next “Phenomenon” that goes by the name pf Amir Khan.
