By Dan Henderson: Life is looking good for WBC super-middleweight champion and super six finalist Carl Froch as the 29th of October is fast approaching and looking to be a career defining fight against American and tournament favorite Andre Ward.

The reason I’m writing this is article is I have seen a lot of negative press written about him which I feel is unjust biased and unfair. Most boxers duck and weave the top fighters in their respective divisions but Carl hasn’t done that he has faced some good fighters recently. He was involved in a brawl with Jean Pascal for the vacant WBC title which he won then a fight that could have sent Froch spiraling back to domestic and European level against Jermain Taylor which Froch having surviving a 3rd round knockdown and being out boxed he pulled out a sensational knockout which propelled him fully onto the world scene.

Froch then entered the super six tournament which he beat Andre Dirrell via split decision then he went onto to concede his first defeat against Mikkel Kessler by losing an unanimous points decision and losing his title. Carl regained his WBC strap in his next fight against Arthur Abraham which he won in a totally one sided fight. Froch fought a hard fight against the tough old Glen Johnson.

All I’m trying to say is Carl Froch is a fighter we should be proud of ok I agree he is not the best technical fighter out there or the quickest but you can’t question his courage or his heart which counts for a lot in the world of boxing. We all would swap positions with him. October the 29th Will it be Carls night? We shall soon see.
