Image: Breidis Prescott calls out Khan - "Let's do it again"By William Mackay: If WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (24-1, 17 KO’s) is looking for revenge for his 1st round knockout loss to Breidis Prescott (23-2, 19 KO’s), then he has the perfect opportunity now. Prescott, 27, sent out a press release today calling out Khan for his next fight. Khan is coming off a 12 round decision to Marcos Maidana (29-2, 27 KO’s) last Saturday night, and is now looking for someone to fight on April 16th in the UK when Khan fights again. Prescott maybe the perfect opponent if Khan wants to quiet his critics and prove that his loss to Prescott was just a case of Khan not being prepared for the fight instead of being a glass-jawed fighter.

Prescott had this to say about Khan: “If he wants his true redemption — If he truly wants to prove what happened was a fluke and remove all doubt from his name, then let’s do it again. I’ll go right to his backyard and knock him out again.”

Prescott maybe a fighter that Khan can never beat, because with his height, reach and hooks, he was able to find Khan every time with his shots. Khan was hit a lot by Maidana and hurt badly. Prescott would be another huge puncher for Khan, and it could be that his promoters won’t want to have Khan face another big puncher. However, the options for Khan aren’t so good. There’s Victor Ortiz, who possibly hits just as hard as Maidana and Prescott. That’s no relief for Khan. He can always fight Lamont Peterson or Zab Judah, but those fighters are also dangerous and could knock Khan out due to his weak chin. As you can see, Khan is danger no matter whom he faces. He might as well fight Prescott and get it over with. If he knocks him out, it wasn’t meant to be. Khan can go back to the drawing board and maybe move back down in weight to lightweight.
