By Scott Gilfoid: Oleksandr Usyk said moments ago on social media he’s sent the “points for agreement” to “greedy belly” Tyson Fury, and the “clock is ticking” for him to accept the deal. Usyk is giving Fury a taste of his own medicine, giving him a deadline to agree to the agreement.
Judging by the tone of the post by Usyk, he’s about to walk away from the Fury fight, likely feeling frustrated with the aggressive, one-sided nature of the negotiations, trying to steamroll over the talented two-division world champion Oleksandr.
Usyk didn’t hint at the “points for agreement” that he wants Fury to accept. He is already giving Fury a huge gift by agreeing to fight in his backyard in London, England after he failed to agree to his side of a deal with the Saudis.
IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) has bent over backward to try and make the fight with WBC belt holder Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), but it appears that the fight is on the verge of collapse after ‘The Gypsy King’ went overboard with his demands.
Usyk added that his side “did everything in our power to make it happen.” It’s up to Fury’s side how much they want this fight. If it doesn’t happen, it would be the second massive fight that has slipped through Fury’s fingers due to his inability to negotiate with the top-flight heavyweights.

Fury’s legion of fans are hopping mad about Usyk giving him a deadline, and they’re clearly not enjoying the big 6’9″ champion getting a beautiful counterstroke from the unbeaten, more accomplished champion.
The fans of Fury are bellyaching something fierce on social media in response to Usyk telling the Gyspy King the “clock is ticking.” It’s nice to see them complaining.
You can argue that Usyk should have never entertained the idea of giving Fury a sense that he was the A-side in the negotiations because he’s done nothing in his career to deserve that position other than beating lesser opposition and an old Wladimir Klitschko, and flapping his gums 24/7.

Fans will naturally assume that Fury’s ego is out of control, making him his worst enemy when negotiating fights for the best fighters. We see that a lot of the time with champions. They get accustomed to making one-sided deals with low-ranking contenders.
So when the time comes for them to try and set up a deal with popular fighter or another world champion, they forget who they’re dealing with and offer the same deals. They wind up with nothing, and their popularity soon wanes due they’re not giving the fans the fights they want to see.
